Client Week 3

I learned about usability this week. I guess I always knew about usability but never called it that. I’ve always thought of it as testing, beta testing, operational testing which all depends on the situation. I also learned a lot about the Kiptopeke concrete ships. I am thinking about visiting the park soon so that I can look at them up close.

I think that our team has been working pretty well together and are on schedule. I lag behind sometimes because of other school work and I think that maybe one or more of the team members feels like they need direction so they lag as well.  I know that two or three push-push-push to complete tasks and want me to tell them what to do next, but I’d like to be the coach rather than the boss. I find that I am asked direct questions rather than open questions which can lead to self-discovery. I need to work on answering questions in a way that leads the team members rather than directs the team members.

I think that our team success stems from everyone figuring out how to do their part while my individual success is preparing documents to get the momentum going.

I would like to know what I can borrow from other web sites and what I need to obtain permission to re-post on our launch page or sign. I wouldn’t want to put the VA State Parks System in jeopardy or make them liable for any work that we performed.
