During the spring semester of 2015 I was privileged enough to be selected to be a paid undergraduate research apprentice for the Safety Management Applied Research Team (S.M.A.R.T.) Lab in the Psychology Department at Old Dominion University. I participated in this lab with two other students and our graduate student mentors advised by Dr. Konstantin Cigularov. We created the poster pictured below and presented it on April 17, 2015 at the L. Starling Reid Undergraduate Research Conference at the University of Virginia. We were one of 42 posters accepted to present at the conference. Our poster is titled “A Taxonomy of College Student Stressors and Their Relationships with Student Strains and Success”. My contribution is the qualitative analysis which resulted in the taxonomy pictured in the middle of the poster. This taxonomy is different from other college student stressor taxonomies because it highlights the stressors that contribute specifically to students at Old Dominion University. I am continuing to perform research on this subject even though my tenure as a URA has ended. Please use the form below to contact me if you have any questions.
